Discover Romsey

Dear Community members

The Results of the Get Snapping Photo Competion are:

Romsey-Lancefield Rotary President Anne Collins presented first prize in the 2018 Romsey photo competition to Lisa Worden. Sandy Webb 2nd and Dot Theuma 3rd. People’s prize went to Birgit Gossiti.

Over 100 entries came to this inaugural competition, ‘Get Snapping” with pics of life in Romsey. They are on display in the Romsey township for two weeks. The idea came from a ‘happy pic” taken (with consent) of two toddlers talking to a pony on Five Mile Creek. Skill, time and individual ingenuity gave pics of Romsey life in sports, nature, with animals, historic buildings or just friends together.

Entries came across ages, senior members of our community down to 11 year olds. Thanks are due to the judges Michelle Thompson, Cr Bill West and Gillian Gorrie, to Romsey Lancefield Rotary Club Inc and especially Rotarian Josh Reeves of Ray White Real Estate for digital support, to all local businesses, and to all who helped in making this town photo competition happen.

Barry Nunn, Sharyn Ede, Anne Collins (President Romsey Lancefield Rotary Club Inc) and Gillian Gorri explains how the judges reached their decisions and thank all those who entered and/or supported the Get Snapping Event.

Please find attached the PDF for entry to the Romsey Rag Photo Competition.
