Redgum and the Lost Souls Event Romsey Mechanics Institute

Local Macedon Ranges Band, “Redgum And The Lost Souls” are heading off to the Tamworth Country Music Festival in 2020.  They have  recently produced a CD titled “Aussie Outback Muster”, “Redgum and Lost Souls”  and have been accepted, not only into Tamworth Country Music Festival, but also entered into “Album of The Year” at the Mildura Country Music Festival.

Travelling to Tamworth, 1200 km’s one way means the band needs to raise enough money for fuel; $800.00 both ways and 11 days accommodation, at a cost of $140.00 per night, per room by two rooms.  A total cost of $3080.00. This performance at the Romsey Mechanics’ Institute is to both bring their unique performances to the community and also to raise funds to help pay for their 11 days at the music festival.

The band members are:

John Bamford, poet residing in Romsey,

Sarah Holden, originally resided in Kyneton but recently moved to Sunbury. Sarah has, for many years, been employed as a music teacher at Woodend Primary, Lancefield Primary and Salesian College Sunbury.

Jamie Epps, Singer/Songwriter/ musician, residing in Kyneton and

George Mackelroy, multi instrumentalist, residing in Kyneton.

The band’s songs reflect the many struggles and mental health issues when living in rural Australia. They also reflect the Australian bush, its uniqueness and all that being Australian represents.

Our performances showcase a unique combination of; Australian  poetry, song and artwork .

Entry – $20.00. Tickets will be available at the door
