Discover Romsey

Just a brief note to let you know that the inaugural Clean Up Romsey Day was held on Sunday 6th March 2016 to coincide with Clean Up Australia Day.

This was an initiative of the Town Pride working group which runs under RRBATA’s Romsey Streetscape Project umbrella. There was a great turnout of community members who were assigned to various “clean up zones”. These included Main Street (between north and south end of 70 km/hr), Lions Park Five Mile Creek, Old Romsey Primary School site, Lions Reserve (skate park), Avenue of Honour (by Rotary) and some of the residential streets.

Rotarians were cleaning up their usual patch along the Avenue of Honour. They do this twice per year as a service to community.

Likewise the Lancefield Romsey Lions Club do a similar cleanup along the Main Road (South of Romsey).

Special thanks to Benny Dyer (RRBATA) for the large and sturdy bags used on the day.
