ANZAC DAY SERVICE (Tuesday) 25th April 2017
The Annual ANZAC Service will again be held at the CENOTAPH in HIGH Street LANCEFIELD
DATE: 25th April (Tuesday)
Time: 8.30 am
Marchers requested to be ready by 8: 20 am infront of the Bakery
Following the Service tea, coffee, and refreshments will be provided by Lancefield Neighbourhood House at the Mechanics Hall
A wreath laying service will be conducted at Romsey Centaph at 7.30 am

Note: Private Herbert GOLDING served in WW1 and was killed at Pozieres on 27th August 2016 aged 36.
His name has been an omission on the Lancefield Cenotaph and with discussions between RSL and the Macedon Ranges Shire Council, it has been agreed that his name will now appear (lead casting and installation to be paid for by RSL and MRSC).
Private Herbert Golding is the great uncle of Mrs Jay Brooks (Romsey) and the grandfather of Douglas Golding of Queensland (who is planning to travel down to attend the Service).
Private Herbert Golding was the proprietor, publisher and printer of The Lancefield Mercury from 1913-1915. He sold the newspaper when he enlisted and his family moved to Cheltenham in Victoria.
