Mental Health Month and this week – Mental Health Week. We are running two online informal half hour information sessions I am hosting this week about Mental Health Care Plans to celebrate Mental Health Week.
The aim is to educate and explain the basics (as this is my most common conversation with those who connect with MHH once referred). It will lightly cover: How to get a mental health care plan to support individual mental health.
What they may discuss during their GP session. What information they need to know about (in person session and telehealth), if they have a preferred provider having these details with them. How many sessions can be rebated by Medicare per annum.

The Macedon Ranges Accommodation Association (MRAA) has received a grant from Macedon Ranges Shire Council to run a Digital Health Check Program to support the accommodation, hospitality, tourism and retail sectors of the visitor economy in the Macedon Ranges.

Local artist Peter Sanders, will give an illustrated talk about Burke & Wills and their ill-fated journey through Victoria. As you may be aware, the Expedition Party stopped in Lancefield on the evening of 23 August and in Baynton on 24 August 1860. We will learn more about their trip, almost 161 years later, when we hear Peter talk about his exploration of every campsite made by Burke & Wills, and see his paintings commemorating their trip.

If COVID regulations suddenly reduce patron numbers indoors, what will happen?
COVID 19 has made the events world grind to an almost complete halt. The only way forward is to have strong contingencies. We are focused on providing a great event whatever happens. Therefore we will still go ahead with a takeaway food contingency.
What if I am showing COVID symptoms and have to self isolate?
Firstly, we’d really miss you and hope you get better soon. Then we’d encourage you to pass on the ticket to a family member or friend once you let us know. Finally we will of course give you a full refund if required.

Lancefield & Romsey Community Financial Services Limited is the management company of the Community Bank branches at Lancefield & Romsey. Following the retirement of long standing Board members, the Company is seeking interested residents to apply to join like-minded volunteers in this highly active community organisation.
The Community Bank is a major contributor to the amenity and financial wellbeing of our Romsey and Lancefield communities, and has distributed more than $1.6 million in grants and sponsorships to local groups over the past 19 years. The company is particularly seeking applicants with an understanding of the needs of the Lancefield and Romsey communities together with an appreciation of the impact of technology and online banking on customer engagement.
These roles may be of interest to persons who are either working or retired. Experience in corporate/financial affairs or business management is an advantage but not essential. The ability to invest your time and energy is a key attribute that we’re looking for. Various training options are available for successful candidates.
The positions are voluntary and therefore a strong commitment to community affairs is essential. There is a minimum
commitment of at least 10 hours per month, including a monthly Board meeting and participation in regular Board committees.
