Romsey Community House offers activities and courses for Romsey residents.
Here at Romsey Neighbourhood House our mission is to provide a venue where every resident feels welcome, can engage in activities that will aid in personal and educational growth and enable all members of the community to realise their full potential. Every person who comes through our door will feel welcome and be an asset to themselves and to their community. Romsey Neighbourhood house focuses on community strengthening, community development and community capacity building.
Romsey Neighbourhood House develops and coordinates a range of activities and programs in response to the needs of the community. The House aims to provide activities in a way which increases peoples independence and interaction with other members of the community. A diverse range of programs, training courses and workshops are on offer throughout the week & weekends both during the day and evenings here at Romsey Neighbourhood House. Social, educational and recreational programs include: Information and Referral, Arts & Craft Groups, Cooking classes, Health & Wellbeing workshops, Dance & Movement for Children, Boat/Jet Ski Licence Training, Pilates, Study programs & assistance for VCE/Uni students, Neighbourhood Forums, Personal Development Courses, Food Handling Courses, Women’s Health Classes, Hospitality and First Aid Courses. Various Neighbourhood groups such as Garden Clubs & morning tea groups meet at the House, share ideas and support each other. We also have a Justice of the Peace available here to witness & certify documents for members of the community.
We are located in the Old Post Office building adjoining Romsey Community Hub/Library.
