The Romsey Branch of the Country Women’s Association meet on the first Wednesday of each month at the Mechanic Hall (RMI Hall) Supper Room at 10.00 am for their General Meetings, and CRAFT DAYS will be the third Thursday of the month at 10.00 am through to 2 pm. Both meetings are held in the supper room (side entrance) of the Romsey Mechanics Institute (122 Main Street Romsey).

Crafts include knitting, sewing, crochet, cooking beading and paper craft. Craft days are FREE to members and $5 for non-members.

Our meeting days are informative and light hearted and a way to meet new ladies and make long-lasting friendships. Our previous endeavours have been to assist the Kilmore Caladenia Nursing Home with gifts to enable residents to purchase for their visitors or for the staff to sell to raise money for much needed equipment. We have also made cushions, and rugs for their residents. Cancer patients at the Kilmore Hospital have been supplied with packs of toiletries. Woodend Nursing home was last year given numerous knee rugs.

The Country Women’s Association also support the Moira Kelly Children’s First Foundation with monetary donations, and many other needy charitable organisations in Victoria, interstate as well as overseas.
