RRBATA Light Up the Sky 15 Oct 2016

Despite the massive winds a good crowd of about 250 poeple turned out for the biennual RRBATA – Light Up the Sky event Sponsored by the Romsey Community Bank

 

Various Community and Service Clubs also supported this event:

Lancefield Romsey Angican Church sold an assortment of delicious cakes as well as tea and coffee.

The Kyneton Lions Club again suported the event through their Kids Train ride

 

The gusting winds enven played havoc with the Community Bank sign as it flapped continually.

MC for the evening was Dave Allen who did an outstanding job with music, singing, announcements and reminders despite the intense gusts of wind

The Romsey Freemasons were doing a roaring trade with their BBQ

Romsey Lancefield Rotary Club ran the two raffles (gold coin donation for opportunity to press the button to start the fireworks) and 4 prizes retro toys donated by local businesses.

St Johns Ambulance attended the event.

The TUG of War CFA Trophy

 

Tug of War between three local CFA Brigades (Bolinda/Monegeetta, Hesket/Kerrie and Romsey) commences.

The strain was really showing !!

Winners (are grinners): Bolinda/Monegeetta team

Neighbourhood House were providing a range of foods including pancakes and baked potatoes.

 

Jenga was popular for a while.

Mascot for the Community Bank (Piggy) spent time playing the various games with the crowd
