Maureen Wiltshire celebrated the occasion with family, friends, business colleagues and clients in the Newnham Rooms at Romsey on Wednesday 23rd October 2013.

Remembrance Day 2013 AVENUE of HONOUR Romsey Lancefield Rotary and RSL

 A short ceremony was held at the Romsey end of the AVENUE of HONOUR following the main RSL Remembrance Day service in Lancefield. The Avenue of Honour is a joint initiative of Romsey Lancefield RSL and Rotary.

Members of West Bourke Books Inc and their families, RSL members, Rotarians and others gathered to unveil two new plaques.

The First was for KOKODA – New Guinea in remembrance of West Bourke Books Inc committee: Alan Jackson, Joyce Jackson, Peter and Margaret Mitchell, Carol Moore, Robyn Poletti, Gavin Smith Dorothy and Ron Viney.

The Second was El ALAMEIN in remembrance of Anne Collins’ and Rick Faulkner’s father.

Special thank you to St Mary’s PS and Romsey PS students and teachers who were able to attend. Both schools were presented with Rotary Club mini banners at the ceremony end.

Special thanks to RSL President John Lynch for his ongoing support of this project and to John Horan (RSL) who recounted the historical significance of Kokoda and El Alamein battles.

Romsey Lancefield Rotary Club Raffle Drawn Sunday 10 Nov 2013

The Romsey Lancefield Rotary Club has been running a raffle over the past few months of a wheel barrow, garden implements and solutions for the soil all donated by Bunnings (Sunbury).

On Sunday 10 Nov 2013 at Sicilian Vespers Tino drew the winning ticket which was to a TAS who lives in Craigieburn. He was promptly phoned of his good luck.
