 Congratulations to Romsey winning the League B Grade Premiership against Macedon.

FATHERS DAY RAFFLE DRAWN by ROMSEY LANCEFIELD ROTARY CLUB Inc

The Romsey Lancefield Rotary Club Inc has been actively selling raffle tickets over the past few months with two prizes on offer. For $2 a ticket one had the opportunity to win a new trailer full of red gum firewood and (second Prize) a RYOBI Line trimmer.

The Trailer was purchased from Sunshine Trailers by the Rotary Club and the Red Gum wood was donated by Romsey StockFeeds (Mark Shepherdley) and The Wood Guy

Second Prize was donated by Bunnings Sunbury (Ryobi Line Trimmer)

Rotarian Shane Pettingill and Maria Albano Bunnings Community Officer with the donated Ryobi Line Trimmer.

RRBATA Breakfast at Soltan Pepper Restaurant 7th Sept 2012

The RRBATA Committee held a very successful breakfast program with about 30 business men and women as well as community group representatives attending.

MRSC CEO Peter Johnston addresses the business breakfast with a presentation involving the MRSC strategic planning, the statistics of the Shire, the importance of Industry and Tourism and the Council Services. The Financial Statistics were discussed, property evaluations, the Rates Calculation, the Community Satisfaction Survey, the impact of issues facing local government today and the detailed proposals for Romsey township (including the Proposed Junior Pavillion at Romsey PS, the proposed Senior Pavillion at Romsey Park, and the Romsey Community Sports Oval Project).

RRBATA President Jenny Stillman presented Peter Johnston with a RRBATA Showbag.

Financial Planner Patrick Quigley talked about the Global economy and the pressures facing investments and superannuation funds. He discussed investment strategies in the current market, the high Australian dollar and its impact on exports as well as the mining boom (which appears to have plateaued out at the moment). RRBATA President Jenny Stillman presented Patrick with a RRBATA Showbag.

Junior Basketball
Our Junior Basketball programs are all starting again, with all competitions scheduled to start back the first week of term 4. Registrations are due immediately.

Aussie Hoops: 5 – 10 years Tuesday
Under 10’s Comp: 2004/2005 Wednesday
Under 12’s Comp: 2002/2003 Monday
Under 14’s Comp: 2000/2001 Tuesday
Under 16’s Comp: 1998/1999 Tuesday
Under 20’s Comp: 1994-1997 Tuesday

Junior Indoor Soccer
Our junior soccer competitions are starting again during the first week of term 4. We hope to commence a new competition for under 14’s. Registrations are now due.
Goal Kick: 5 – 10 years Friday
Under 12’s Comp: 8 – 12 years Friday
Under 14’s Comp: 12 – 14 years Friday

Junior Indoor Cricket
A new program for 2012. Indoor cricket coaching program for children aged 5 – 10 years. Perfect for kids hoping to master the basics of cricket. Starting 1st week of term 4. Places are limited. Register now.

Senior Mixed Basketball
We are now accepting team an individual registrations for the summer season of senior mixed basketball. Registration night on Wednesday 10th October at 7.30pm.

Senior Mixed Soccer
We are now accepting team an individual registrations for the summer season of senior mixed soccer. Registration night on Friday 12th October at 7.30pm.

Senior Mixed Netball
We are now accepting team an individual registrations for the summer season of senior mixed netball. Registration night on Thursday 11th October at 7.30pm.

Ladies Daytime Netball
We are now accepting team an individual registrations for the summer season of ladies daytime netball. Child minding may be available. Thursday morning competition, starting term 4.

Senior Squash

THE YOGO’S present Flexercise, starting in term 4. A yoga program for 3-5 year olds. Each class is based on the characteristics of different animals and encourages learning about animals and the world they live in. Thursday morning classes.
